Shhhh......the baby's sleeping

Just kidding, it’s been so quiet the last few days, I just thought I’d make a joke post. Everyone must be enjoying their weekends.

Well that sounds like a nice weekend to me (minus the softball shaft). Wine, Food, Waterfront…can’t go wrong with any of that!!!

I’ve taken off the past three days to read, declutter and survive my allergies. It’s been raining off and on, so no nature walks or getting out.

What have you been up to, @jackieheraty?

@seezall Soo true!! Whine about the wine. See Food and can’t eat it. And you’re a Sinker Swimmer.

@LauraE I went shopping for gifts for my niece’s b-day party next weekend (turning 8), I went for a motorcycle ride with the hubs. Grilled some awesome steaks (just got a new grill after a major wind blew over the old one and pieces were everywhere.) Played with the dog in the yard - big girl - 160 lbs. She is a brindle Mastiff and her name is Moose!

Sorry about the playoff shaft. I would be fuming too ( I use to play softball until I was 35. I miss it), but I’m glad you got some much needed time off with your girlfriend enjoying wine and crab legs.

winery Lady said by eating local sourced honey(we got some) can help with your allergies, I Don’t know how true that statement is, but it makes some sense

@jackieheraty, What did you end up getting your niece? Does she live locally? Is she a girly girl or a tomboy? One of my granddaughters turns 6 tomorrow. This year I just sent money (they live in Wyoming) with a beautiful card. I wish they lived close.

I’m jealous - Can’t find any decent crabs down here unless I drive (2 hours) to the Tidewater area. :yum:

she’s both…so I got her cute outfits (loves purple, pink, sparkle and skirts), shopkins stuff and for the tomboy, a razor skooter long board something…I dunno, it’s for the older kids, the others are too small and she out grew the kiddie one she had.

Seez…that is absolutely true about local honey. I used to die from allergies every year til I caught onto that tip. It makes sense when you think they are pollinating and getting nectar from the same flowers in your area. It helped me tremendously…plus pure honey straight from the beekeeper (not the ones you get in the store that isn’t even honey) is good for you in many ways besides helping with allergies. Helps sore throats too.Good tip!

Also works for allergies (though I don’t know how): Homeopathic remedy Histaminum Hydrochloricum.

Any love for honey as an arthritis reliever?

I will try the local honey thing. We do have a beehive place in my area, but it’s a 45 min drive of winding roads.

@jackieheraty I’m sure your niece will .love her new outfits, and the scooter thing.

Laura, my son’s Allergist/Immunology specialist swears by it for his own family…said get Raw UNfiltered Local Honey and take 1 or 2 tablespoons every morning.
He said he puts it on his kids toast, oatmeal etc.and it builds your immunity and keeps the allergies at bay.

I found the Apairy where darling daughter #3’s school went for a field trip. I think another field trip is in order! I wish my kids were still young. We had so much fun running here and there for field trips The youngest is 22 and getting married in a few weeks,

@Annie, I know what you look like, and you’re gorgeous. So the avatar is certainly a good replica of yourself.
