I don’t have anything against the idea of one-day contests, and I’ve even won one. CHs ought to be able to run their contests for a day if for some reason they need a name in a hurry. I wonder if the financial tech CH (the contest closed today after 24 hours) realized that to get a 4 or 5 star name, he might have to spend more time communicating with us. He did come up with 5 3-star entries. And he may have run the contest for a third party. But I think we should be encouraging the CHs of very short contests to rate often and soon.
And at the other end of the spectrum, the ProteinBar CH didn’t rate or give redirection for days and now is giving very low ratings in the last hours of his contest. Anyone have any ideas how to work with these CHs constructively, however busy they may be?
