This is my first time posting something here, so forgive me if this post is in the wrong place or if I did something wrong.
Before I go on, I'd like to say that I like Squadhelp and I think the people are great and the platform is a good one.
However, I think that it is important for CHs to have realistic expectations, and I think Squadhelp should school CHs prior to them starting contests.
99% of great domains that contain real words that are meaningful and synergistically pleasing, and that contain anywhere from 4-8 letters are all registered. The only way they can be purchased in on the aftermarket, and they can sell for anywhere from $xxxx plus. (If you want to see what I'm talking about, simply go to BrandBucket.com or any domain aftermarket platform)
So for a CH to come on squad help with this idea that they can get awesome real word names with only 8 letters and with the domain still unregistered is unrealistic, and really is a waste of their time and ours. In fact, if I could find domains that are between 4-8 letters that contain real words (are real words) and that are still awesome, it makes no sense that I 'give' it to a CH for a mere $100 when I can sell it on the domain aftermarket for anywhere from $1500 up.
In fact, unfortunately, Squadhelp presents an opportunity for people to get domains on the cheap, when these domains could easily fetch 4 figures. This fact, does not benefit Creatives in the least.
I'm just saying.
